Orbitworks inaugurates the region's first commercial satellite manufacturing facility at KEZAD

Orbitworks inaugurated its satellite manufacturing and assembly facility at KEZAD in Abu Dhabi, described as the first commercial satellite manufacturing and assembly facility in the region.

Coverage of the opening noted a factory able to produce up to 50 satellites a year, bringing assembly, integration and testing together in one place.

The inauguration drew regional attention, including participation from the Bahrain Space Agency, and was reported as a step into local satellite manufacturing for the United Arab Emirates.
