Abu Dhabi's Orbitworks plans a $1 billion spend on satellite expansion

Orbitworks set out plans for a $1 billion spend on satellite expansion, a marker of the scale the company is working toward from its base in Abu Dhabi.

Investment on this scale supports more production capacity, a larger constellation and the operations needed to run satellites over their working lives.

The plan builds on a manufacturing facility that is already running and a flagship constellation that is being assembled now.
